Spoof daytime TV lifestyle show

BBC Radio 4 comedy parody written by Bill Dare which ran for 4 series of 6 episodes, from April 1996 to October 1999. This sketch show was presented by the eponymous Mike and Sue, played by Robert Duncan and Julia Hills (series 1) or Jan Ravens (series 2-4), in the guise of a daytime TV lifestyle show about “families and relationships”. On their TV studio sofa, the hapless pair bumble through disparate topics, beset by the cockups and awkward embarassing moments of live television while continually contriving to upstage each other. Regular contributors included Roger Blake, Sally Phillips, Dan Strauss and Mark Kilmurry.
