Things similar to cabin pressure

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Belatedly, thanks so much for adding Canadia 2056! I loved that show and was very sad when an episode got removed from my iTunes purchase of it.

If anyone has Matt Watts's other weird scifi radio comedies Steve, the First and Steve, the Second I'd be delighted to hear them again.

In terms of stuff that's similar to Cabin Pressure, I'd also recommend John Finnemore's Double Acts and In And Out of the Kitchen.

Your post piqued my interest, so I went searching...

Cabin Pressure was so good, I've even got into 'warm' discussions about whether it's actually better than The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy...

Double Science is worth a listen

As is Goodness Gracious Me

An overlooked classic is North by Northamptonshire - superb

Start / Stop (sometimes called Stop / Start) and to finish off Trevor's World of Sport

There's an amazing amount of the ingredient 'Andy Hamilton' in many of the suggestions given.

I'd also recommend last years DO GOODERS. I also loved RELUCTANT PERSUADERS.

Nothing ever amounts to Cabin Pressure (not even Hitchhiker), but I quite liked the first two series of Wooden Overcoats, which is on most audio platforms for free. The third series started going a bit downhill. The fourth series is an abomination and a tire fire, and features one of the worst single episodes of any audio show, plus the series finale is a bit lackluster.

Absolute Power is pretty great too initially, again it also loses steam as it goes on. Clare in the Community is great fun, if a bit repetitive (I still haven't made it through all 12 seasons).
