BBC Radio 4 spoof panel game first broadcast in 1998 as King Stupid presented by William Van Dyck (and allegedly cancelled for being too rude), then from 1998 to 2004 as The 99p Challenge presented by Sue Perkins. As in I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, contestants are given silly things to do – but for prizes of just a few pennies; the winner then gambles their total for the grand prize of 99p – even if they have already won more than this!
