BBC Radio 4’s spoof local radio station, broadcast in 55 episodes from 1979, written by and starring Angus Deayton and Geoffrey Perkins, with Michael Fenton Stevens, Helen Atkinson-Wood and Philip Pope. A wickedly accurate send-up of radio with egotistic DJs presenting pop music parodies such as The Hee Bee Gees and struggling to keep a lid on the shambles of technical cock-ups, incomprehensible interviewees and sarcastic colleagues.
